Everards Brewery Ltd

Everards Brewery was founded in 1849 by William Everard and today it is still an independent family business.

Based in Leicestershire, Everards is on the cusp of an exciting new chapter with the development of their new home at “Everards Meadows”, close to Junction 21 of the M1. Set amongst 88 acres of greenspace, a new food, drink and leisure space is currently being created. Everards is investing in their future of brewing by building a state-of-the-art brewery complemented by a ‘beer hall’ which will be open to the public. Alongside this will be a cycling centre run independently by fellow local family business, Rutland Cycling, where customers can hire, buy or repair bikes before they head off on a leisurely ride around the meadows or connect to the national sustrans to explore the County and City. An independent café will also be on site so Everards Meadows will attract lots of people when it opens in phases throughout 2019. Together with this, in 2016 Everards invested in a brand-new logistics centre not far from Everards Meadows at Glenfield, Leicestershire. They own their own supply chain so this facility enables them to offer even more services and flexibility to support their pubs. See www.everardsmeadows.co.uk for the latest on the developments.

Everards brew a range of cask ales including local favourite Tiger Best Bitter which is the official beer of the Leicester Tigers and Leicester Riders. Every month there is a limited edition brew available, many of which champion local stories and alongside the Everards range the pubs can access lots of national and local beers to offer as guests too. While the new brewery is being built, Everards retained five members of their brewing team to oversee the beers at their temporary homes and to maintain the quality and taste that fans know and love.

Run a pub with Everards

Everards has over 175 pubs across the East Midlands in a mixture of busy town centre sites and picturesque villages. Many of these pubs have been in the estate for years thanks to their long heritage and commitment to maintaining properties. But people are at the heart of the business and they are proud to work with fantastic independent business owners who run Everards pubs on a three-year tenancy agreement. All the tenancy agreements offer Landlord & Tenant Protection which means that you would have the right to renew at the end of your three years (assuming of course you haven’t broken your agreement) and we believe this is a really important feature which offers you security.

Never run a pub before or a bit rusty? Everards offer a no-commitment “Try before you buy” experience where you can spend some time in a pub to see what it’s really like and help decide whether it’s for you. Every person taking on their own pub is different with varying experience and skills so a tailored approach to learning and development is taken. Each pub has a business relationship manager as well as a direct line to every team so they will work with you as much, or as little, as you need and want. This approach has been recognised by the industry’s prestigious Publican Awards where Everards has been recognised as “Pub Company of the Year (Leased / Tenanted under 200 sites)” a remarkable five times since 2008. Everards are proud of this but also really proud that a number of Everards pubs have won awards and many are their local CAMRA branch’s “Pub of the Year”.

Everards has a friendly team who are happy to discuss what they offer – simply call 0116 2014260 or visit www.everards.co.uk to find out more and to read about the experiences of some of their business owners.
