Fuller, Smith & Turner Plc

Fuller’s is London’s only remaining traditional brewery, and beer has been brewed on Fuller’s Chiswick site for over 350 years – as far back as the era of Oliver Cromwell. Over the years Fuller’s has built up a reputation for running great pubs (with nearly 400 pubs, inns and hotels) and brewing outstanding beers, with the likes of London Pride, ESB, and 1845 all winning numerous awards. In fact three of Fuller’s beers – London Pride, ESB and Chiswick Bitter – have been named the Campaign for Real Ale’s Champion Beer of Britain (an unprecedented five times), a feat unmatched by any other brewery. From crisp blonde beers, through to full flavoured traditional ales and rich dark porters, they brew beers of the finest quality to suit every discerning palate.

Fuller’s have a vast array of pubs from lively locals such as the Basketmakers in Brighton to lovely village pubs like the Greyfriar in Chawton Hampshire. With pubs ranging from Birmingham to Bournemouth and Brighton to London, you’ll never be stuck to find a Fuller’s pub that suits you.

As one of London’s enduring landmarks, The Griffin Brewery is open to the public for organised tours. Fuller’s run up to 20 tours a week incorporating all parts of the brewing process from the arrival of raw materials to the packaging of the beer on the cask racking line. One of their excellent guides will show you around and will try to answer all of your questions, culminating with the highlight of any tour- the tasting.
